A champion for your Ultramarines army
Kaius Konorius is a veteran Space Marine of the Ultramarines 1st Company and the personal champion of Chapter Master Marneus Calgar. Once assigned as a combat instructor on Macragge, teaching battle-brothers the art of the blade, he has returned to the front line. He fought alongside Marneus Calgar and Chaplain Cassius when all three were neophytes, and now he stands as one of the most trusted warriors in the Chapter.
This multipart plastic kit from Games Workshop builds Kaius Konorius as a single Warhammer 40,000 character miniature, ready to lead from the front or guard your most important leaders in games of Warhammer 40,000.
Weapons and build options
- Severance and Rebuke: two master-crafted power weapons for cutting through massed infantry or striking down high-value targets
- Heavy bolt pistol: for softening up an enemy before he closes in
- Two head options: build him with a plumed helmet or a bare head
- Rules note: He protects the Leader of the unit he supports from Precision attacks, giving Space Marines players a direct answer to character sniping. See the Kaius Konorius datasheet in Codex: Space Marines (48-01) for his full rules.
What is in the box
- 17 plastic components
- 1 Citadel 40mm round base
- 1 construction guide
The miniature is supplied unassembled and unpainted. You will need plastic glue, clippers or cutters, and paints to finish him. Games Workshop recommends Citadel Super Fine Detail Cutters, Warhammer Colour Plastic Glue and Warhammer Colour paints.
Who is this Space Marines miniature for?
- Ultramarines collectors who want Marneus Calgar's champion in their army
- Space Marine players looking for a close-combat character to escort key leaders
- Painters who enjoy character models, with a choice of helmed or bareheaded looks and plenty of blade work to highlight
- Warhammer 40,000 fans collecting the new 11th Edition Space Marines range alongside the updated Codex
Painting tip
Kaius is a single model, so it is worth taking your time with the blades. Paint each weapon with a clean edge highlight, because the swords are where the eye goes first.
